Christine M. Lettre

Christine Marie Lettre, 61, of Weare, NH, passed away surrounded by loved ones at Elliot Hospital on June 5, 2025. Born in Dorchester, MA on July 18, 1963, she was a daughter of Thomas and Claire (Monahan) Holt. She shared 23 years of marriage with her husband, David Lettre.

Christine was raised in Dorchester and Hull, MA and graduated from Hull High School. She settled in New Hampshire, where she raised her beloved daughters, Annette and Jennifer, and has resided for the past 40 years. She worked as a waitress at both Newark’s and Richard’s Bistro where she made many friends over the years.

Christine found great joy in traveling with Dave and other family members, creating lasting memories along the way. She especially treasured time at the lake and the beach, where she loved being surrounded by her grandchildren. Grammy loved all of her grandchildren and family "this much" with wide open arms. Life in the countryside brought her peace. She adored her home on the hill and took pride in caring for her flower and vegetable gardens. Christine had a passion for reading and cooking, and she expressed her creativity through her remarkable artistic talents.

Christine is survived by her husband, David Lettre of Weare; her mother, Claire Holt of Delray Beach, FL; her daughters, Annette Chaput and her husband Brian of Merrimack and Jennifer Omer of Manchester; her stepdaughter, Kera Hartlen and her husband Blaine of Whitefield; her brother, Michael Holt and his wife Karen of Stoneham, MA; her sisters, Julie and Amy Holt of Lantana, FL and Jessica Holt-Lopez of Delray Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Holt.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 28 at 9AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, Christine’s family asks that family and friends contribute to a fund for a memorial bench in Christine’s memory to be placed at her favorite lake in NH.
