Christopher Michael Clark was born on November 5, 1975, in Arlington, Massachusetts, to William Rose and Marylou Rose. He attended Minuteman Technical High School and went on to live a life marked by service, hard work, and pride in everything he did.

Chris joined the Army National Guard in 1996 and entered active duty in January 1999. He served for two years at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, as an engineer and graduated from Sapper School. Chris was proud of his service as an Army veteran, and the dedication and discipline he carried during his military career remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.

Following his military service, Chris built a long career with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, where he worked for 16 years. Chris took tremendous pride in his work and approached every task with high standards and a determination to do the job well. Chris was also a Master Mason of Horace Chase Lodge #72 in Boscawen, New Hampshire. In his free time, he had a passion for motorcycles, watching motorcycle racing and was an avid sports fan.

Beyond his accomplishments, however, Chris's life was defined most by the relationships he shared with the people he loved. Chris shared a deeply loving marriage with his wife, Veronica Clark. She often used his nickname Christopher Robins from when they first met. Their relationship was filled with affection, laughter, and countless little reminders of how much they meant to one another. Chris made a point of showing Veronica his love. He would send voice messages to her phone of himself singing love songs and leave handwritten love notes on sticky notes throughout their home for her to discover. He loved dancing with his wife, and those ordinary moments together became some of the most meaningful parts of their life. His gestures, whether big or small, reflected a man who never wanted the woman he loved to wonder how much she meant to him.

Family held an equally important place in Chris's heart. He was a protective and caring big brother who could always be counted on to look out for his siblings and family members. There may have been plenty of good sibling rivalry along the way, but underneath it was a deep and enduring love for his family. Chris was someone who wanted to please others, help whenever he could, and take care of the people he considered his own.

Perhaps one of the titles he cherished most was Papa. Chris adored his grandchildren, Kailyn Cochran and Harmony Wilkins (Pumpkin Face), and made a point of telling them just how much he loved them. He didn't simply assume the people closest to him knew how he felt—he told them, showed them, and made sure they knew.

Christopher is survived by his father and mother William Rose and MaryLou Rose, his mother in law Kyong Clark, his loving wife, Veronica Clark; his children, Austin Rose, Dawson, Sean Patrick Rose, Cheyenne Rose, Jenny-Lynn Rose, Felicia Burleigh, and Shane Chase; his beloved grandchildren, Kailyn Cochran, Harmony Wilkins and Wyatt Parker; his siblings, Kimberly Rose, Billy Rose, Jessica Rose and Matthew Rose, Kathy Chapman her husband Brian Chapman and his Nieces and Nephews, Samantha, Tatum, Alyssa, Haylee, Lilliana, Tia, Tiana and her son Oaklee and Maddux as well as extended family and many others who loved him. He was predeceased by his uncle and godfather, John Rose, and his father-in-law, Kenneth Clark.

Chris will be remembered for many things: his service to his country, his years of hard work, his love of motorcycles and racing, and the pride he took in doing things well. But those who knew him best will remember something even greater—the way he loved.

They will remember the memories and laughter that Chris brought with his big full belly laughs and sarcasm and a Papa who made certain his grandchildren heard the words “I love you.”

Chris spent his life looking out for the people he loved. And in the end, some of the smallest things he did to show that love will become the memories his family carries with them forever.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, October 8, 2026, 10:00-11:00am at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel followed immediately by burial with military honors at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen.
