Claire A. Davis

Claire A. (Roy) Davis, 77, of Hooksett, passed away at Catholic Medical Center on Saturday, November 4, 2023, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Goffstown on April 21, 1946, the daughter of the late George and Yvonne (Lavoie) Roy. She had worked in sales at Macy’s earlier in her career. Claire was very strong in her faith and studied the bible with zeal. Discussing prophecy and the endtimes were her favorite topics. During the last few months of her life as she struggled with severe health issues and other trials, the two things that would light her face up were talking about her family and Jesus.  She was an avid reader, a homebody, and loved spending time with her family.

Family members include her husband of 61 years, Millard Davis; her daughter, Leta Dalrymple, and her husband David of Northfield; three sons, Pastor Tracy Davis and his wife Patricia of Lisbon, Randy Davis and his wife Cindy of Hooksett, and Pastor Eric Davis and his wife Trisha of Hooksett; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Roy of Goffstown; a sister, Doris Dezainde of Manchester; and nephews, nieces, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Andy Roy, and a sister, Rachel Delisle.

A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel of Hooksett on Saturday, November 11^th at 11:00 with family and friends gathering at the church at 10:30 prior to the service which will be officiated by two of her sons. Internment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery privately. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
