Claire Lucille Lemay

Claire Lucille (Mailhot) Lemay passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 12, 1933, in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Alice (Boisvert) Mailhot. She led an amazing life full of love and joy. She married Francis J. Lemay (Frank) in 1955 and together they raised 5 beautiful children. They remained inseparable for 68 years.

Claire was a graduate of St. Joseph High School class of 1952. She worked for Graybar after High School. Once her 5 children were all of school age, she worked at Howe, Riley & Howe PLLC until retiring.

Claire lived her faith and cherished family and tradition. Always welcoming, love was woven into every aspect of her life. May she rest in peace warmed by the legacy of the LOVE she created.

Claire is predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Lemay, her parents, Rene and Alice Mailhot and her sister Lorraine Stanton.

She is survived by her sister Carmelle Dwyer; daughter Paula and her husband Chris; son Mark and his late wife JoAnn; daughter Carrie and her husband Gary; son Alan and his wife Linda; son Peter; along with 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00AM on Friday, September 26, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 567 Manchester Road, Auburn, NH 03032. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
