Claire A. (Jean) Poulin, 88, formerly of Manchester, passed away on January 11, 2011 at the Bedford Hills Nursing Home, Bedford.
She was born in Manchester on March 28, 1922, the daughter of Joseph and Lumina (LeBlanc) Jean and had been a Manchester resident for most of her life. She was a homemaker but was also a certified dietician and had worked for several local nursing homes until her retirement. After retirement, she worked in the dining services department at Southern New Hampshire University for sixteen years, until she retired again at 81 years old. She was a long-time parishioner of Ste. Marie Church, was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Womenâs Auxiliary and a member of Womenquest. She was the widow of Leo F. Poulin who died in 1983.
In Her Life: Family members include her son, Jean Poulin and his wife Deborah, of Chichester; three daughters, Suzanne Grenier of Manchester, Denise DâAnjou of Lake Worth, FL and Annette Heroux and her husband Dick of Goffstown; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, on Friday from 3 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 in Ste. Marie Church. Committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
