Claire G. Simard, 64, of Hooksett, NH died July 5, 2008 in Manchester. She was born on October 31, 1943 in Manchester, NH the daughter of the late Romeo Jean and Marie-Ange (Belanger) Gagne. She graduated from Ste. Marie's School in Manchester. Claire was a resident of the greater Manchester area for most of her life. She worked as the director of human resources at Airmar Technology in Milford for the past 20 years. Claire enjoyed quilting, stained glass and crafts in general. She also liked going to the beach and traveling. She had an eye for interior decorating and enjoyed gardening. One of her greatest joys was her family, she especially enjoyed spending the holidays with them. She was a very proud and doting grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, Jack Simard of Manchester, Steve Simard of Francestown; daughter, Deb Simard-Achak of Seattle, WA; 9 grandchildren; her siblings, Lucien Gagne of Center Harbor, NH, Simone Beliveau of Dover, NH, Terrie Weintraub of Bluffton, South Carolina; Constance Ruhl of Venice, FL and Lori Pollack of Lexington, MA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Monday 2-4 and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00AM at Ste. Marie Church, Manchester. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
