Claire G. Thomas

Claire G. Thomas, 95, of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2025, after a period of declining health. Born on January 6, 1930, she was the beloved wife of the late Emile Thomas, who preceded her in death in 2002.

Claire devoted her life to her family, embodying every role with grace and strength. As a homemaker, she was the chief executive officer, chief operating officer, and chief financial officer of her household. She served as head caregiver to her husband and sons, spiritual advisor, teacher, and—when needed—plumber, landscaper, maintenance staff, house cleaner, window washer, cook, and dishwasher. Her dedication was unwavering, and her love was the foundation upon which her family thrived.

She is survived by her three sons and their families: Bruce and Debbie Thomas of Manchester, NH; Kevin and Fran Thomas of Manchester, NH; and Brian Thomas of Pahrump, Nevada. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Geneva Thomas of The Villages, Florida, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and great-grand-nieces and nephews. Together, they carry forward her legacy of devotion, resilience, and love.

Claire’s life was a testament to the power of family and faith. She found joy in nurturing those around her, and her wisdom and warmth touched everyone who knew her.

ARRANGEMENTS: Assisting the family with arrangements is the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at a private service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bedford. In keeping with her wishes, Claire would not want anyone to grieve her passing. Instead, she asked that her memory be honored with a brief prayer and a kind deed.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Claire’s longtime caregivers—Zena, Kathy, Millie and Rochelle — as well as to the Hospice team at The Elliot VNA for their compassionate end-of-life care.
