Claire Lorraine Tibbetts

Claire Lorraine Tibbetts, 91, lifelong resident of Manchester, NH, passed away at St. Teresa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on September 26, 2025. Born in Manchester on March 30, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Jeannette (St. Germain) Roy. She shared 68 years of marriage with her late husband, Robert A. Tibbetts Jr.

Claire was a 1952 graduate of St. Joseph High School. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing her beloved guitar, “Toots”, and yodeling. As a devoted volunteer at the Elliot Hospital for 25 years, she touched many lives with her warmth and compassion, offering comfort to patients and support to their families with a gentle smile and caring heart. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family.

Claire is survived by her daughters, Linda Riley and her husband George of Manchester, NH and Eileen Hawkins and her husband John of Fuquay-Varina, NC; her grandchildren, Tracy Conway and her partner Jeff Champagne of Weare, NH, Brian Morris and his wife Stephanie of Hooksett, Jaime Hawkins and her husband Logan of Overland Park, KS, and Joshua Hawkins of Chapel Hill, NC; great-grandchildren, Vanessa and Tyler Morris of Hooksett; her sister, Jeanne Gagnon of Manchester, NH; her sister-in-law, Ardyth Vachon of Bedford, NH; niece and nephews, Tammy Newell and her husband Tracy, Mark Gagnon, Christopher Williams and his wife Anna, and Scott Williams and his wife Jodi; and two great-nephews, Bradley Newell and his wife Maddy, and Brackin Williams.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 7th. A visitation will be held from 11AM-12PM with a funeral service at 12PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
