Clark A. Camp, 75, of Bow, NH, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023, following a period of declining health.

Clark was born in Concord, NH, September 25, 1947, and was subsequently adopted by Carl and Enrita (Sargent) Camp. Clark lived at 90 Pleasant Street in Concord, NH, and graduated from Concord High School in 1966. Clark attended a Technical College for 2 years for Automotive Mechanic, he later went on to become fully ASE certified as a Master Mechanic.

Clark began working on engines while he was still in high school. When he retired, he had over 50 years’ experience diagnosing and repairing all types of Automotive vehicles, foreign and domestic. He founded, owned, and operated Automotive Consultant, Inc at 65 River Road in Bow, NH from 1986 to 2005 with his business partner Rick Hiland.

Clark was the husband of Beverly (Barnard) Camp. They were married on October 29, 1968, and enjoyed 54 happy years together until Clark’s passing.

Clark was a member of the Bow Fire Department for over 35 years where he was the Chief Engineer for many years before leaving the Fire Department due to physical health reasons. Clark was also an active member of the Bow Men’s Club for over 20 years. Clark enjoyed backpacking in his younger years. He hiked the entire White Mountain National Forest including all twenty-two 5000+ foot mountains. Clark was an amateur drag-racer in his twenties at New England Dragway; Driving his 1968 Camaro SS, which he ordered with specific modifications direct from the factory. This allowed him to compete in the stock class with a decisive advantage.

Clark is survived by his wife, Beverly (Barnard) Camp and his son, Sean Camp of Salem. In addition to his birth parents, Clark was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Carl and Enrita Camp.

Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen. A private Cemetery committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery at 207 N State Street in Concord.
