Mr. Claude F. Fisher, 84, of Manchester, died April 14, 2010 at his home with his family by his side following a lengthy illness. He was born on November, 23, 1925 in Howard, PA the son of the late Luther and Elizabeth (Hoy) Fisher. Mr. Fisher was a US Navy veteran who served during World War II. He worked for GTE Sylvania for 36 years where he retired as a supervisor in 1986. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Sylvania. He also held a patent for Sylvania. Claude will always be remembered for his welcoming smile, sparkling blue eyes and gracious generosity of his time and dedication to his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rose (Obymako) Fisher of Manchester; his son, Steven and his wife Sandy Fisher of Contoocook; daughter, Joyce Troutman and her husband Michael of Mechanicsburg, PA; step-son, Robert Hogan and his wife Rachel of Hooksett; step-daughters, Beverly Riggas and her husband Loucas of Bedford and Janet Gelinas of Manchester; 10 Grandchildren; 17 Great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, George Fisher of Bellefonte, PA; Rev. Samuel Fisher of Reading, PA; one sister Ethel Drogan of Ormand Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Katherine Koch and Sarah Snyder both of PA. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00PM and Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00AM. His Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 10:00AM.
