Claudette R. Bergin

Claudette R. (Rooney) Bergin, 84, of Winooski, VT passed away Saturday September 30, 2023 at her home she shared with her sister, Charlene Rooney and her two brothers, Richard and Ronald Rooney. Claudette was born March 19, 1939, the daughter of Donald Rooney and Bernardette M. (Goad) Rooney.

Claudette grew up in Whitefield, NH, where she lived until 2009 when she moved to Winooski, VT to live with her sister and her two brothers. She worked at Manchester Knitting in Whitefield, NH for many years and then worked at Hitchner Manufacturing in Littleton, NH.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Bergin, a brother, James Rooney, two sisters, Donna Whalon and Claudia Rooney, her brother-in-law, James Whalon, a sister-in-law, Simone Rooney, and a granddaughter, Crystal King.

She is survived by her son, Glenn Bergin of Lisbon, NH, a daughter, Annette King and her husband Patrick R. King of Lancaster, NH, her two brothers, Richard and Ronald Rooney both of Winooski, VT, and three sisters, Sharon Savage of Burlington, VT, Charlene Rooney of Winooski, VT, and Beverly Chase and her husband Wayne Chase of Hinesburg, VT. Claudette is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held by Reverend Lyn Winter at the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton, NH on Saturday October 14, 2023 beginning at 11AM.
