Claudette L. Johnson

Claudette L. Johnson,  86, of Merrimack, NH passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester, NH. 

Claudette was born on January 17, 1937, in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Oscar and Laura (Belair) Desfosses. She grew up in Manchester and attended local schools.

Just prior to her retirement, Claudette worked as a receptionist at Ethan Allen Furniture where she worked for over 30 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her beloved great grandchild, Dakari. She loved to entertain and was well known for her delicious baked goods which she loved to share with all her family, neighbors and friends at Ethan Allen. She loved the beach, reading and listening to music. 

Members of her family include; her son, Michael LaChance and his wife Nancy, her daughter, Debbie Landry and her husband Stuart; Grandchildren, Brad Landry, Eric Landry and his wife, Mia, Nicole LaChance and her son Dakari and Brian LaChance, several nieces and nephews.   

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, September 24, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, in Manchester. Graveside services will be private.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Saint Anselm Fund at Saint Anselm College, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester, NH 03102, in memory of Claudette.
