Orono, ME

Colette Agnes Beauregard, aged 82, passed away on October 3, 2024, in Orono, Maine. Born on March 10, 1942; the daughter of Roland and Florance Beauregard. Colette was known for her vibrant and energetic personality, a beacon of faith and devotion to her family, friends, and community.

Colette embarked on her educational journey at St. Joseph's all-girls high school and furthered her passion for learning at the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a degree in education. Her career began at Dean's Carpet, where she enjoyed designing for clients as well as forming lifelong friendships with her colleagues. Her creative spirit led her to launch her successful interior design business, "Designs by Colette," specializing in remodeling and designing spaces for her clients. She was so creative and talented that many of her friends became her clients.

Colette loved to socialize and entertain family and friends. She was always laughing and having fun no matter what she was doing; whether entertaining for the holidays, visiting family, taking the grandkids to Disneyland, or a quiet dinner out with her husband Eric. Her commitment to her community was evident through her leadership roles in religious and social organizations. Colette led mission projects at Christ Pacific Church in Huntington Beach, California, and the Stephan Ministry at Grace Coastal Church in Okatie, South Carolina. She also served as President of the Orange County Chapter of the Executive Woman’s Golf Association, indulging her love for golf and charitable spirit. Golf took her and Eric to beautiful courses, including those in Hawaii and Hilton Head. Colette also loved playing golf with her many friends in women’s golf groups such as The Cats. Colette was also a talented seamstress, enjoying knitting, crochet, embroidery, and cross-stitch.

Colette leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment to her family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie "Chuck" Beauregard, and her beloved son, Daniel "Danny" Boudreau. She leaves behind her daughters, Danette Schoenauer and Phyllis Boudreau and her husband, Kerry Pranke; grandchildren, Shawn Akey and his significant other, Emily Hough, Tyler Akey and his significant other, Vasiliki Georgopoulos, Stephanie Lemmon and her husband, Shawn Lemmon, Krysta Lebel, and Julia Lebel; sister-in-law, Mardi Beauregard; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Colette Beauregard's life was marked by her creativity, devotion, and the deep connections she formed throughout her journey. Her legacy of love, laughter, and service continues to inspire all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
