Constance Twarog Matyas

Constance "Connie" Twarog Matyas, 80, a longtime resident of Manchester and formerly of Dracut MA, passed away at her home on September 17, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Albert Matyas of Manchester, who passed away in 1974.

Born on December 30, 1931, and raised in Dracut's Kenwood section, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie Twarog. Connie graduated from Dracut High School and spent many years working in the Dracut school system and in the police department before moving to Manchester.

Connie was especially fond of spending summers in Ocean Park, ME with her brothers and family. She always enjoyed her pets; most recently her cat, Mitzi. She loved life and was especially fond of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their babies. She was very interested in current events and national politics and loved her Fox News.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Connie was predeceased by her longtime companion, Frederick Lotterhand of Manchester, her sister Virginia Stankiewicz of Lowell, and her grandson, Nathan Pascoal of Manchester.

Survivors include her four daughters; Karen, Kathy, and Kris, all of Manchester, and Kim and Tom Morgan of Nashua, three grandchildren; Sarah Pascoal of Manchester, Allison Morgan of Bend, OR, and Stephen Morgan of Nashua; two brothers, John Twarog of Jamison, PA and Lou and Maureen Twarog of Ocean Park, ME and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
