Cynthia “Jean” Paquin, 77, of Concord, NH passed away peacefully on October 3rd at Concord Hospital, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Concord, on May 4, 1944, to Kenneth and Florence (Marston) Drew.
She attended local schools and made her career in the human services field. She was the first in her family to attend college and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from New Hampshire College in May of 1986 while also raising two children. She worked at New Hampshire State Hospital for many years and was a group home manager for the Moore Center in Manchester when she retired in 2011.
She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She liked spending time with her family and especially enjoyed going to York Beach, ME with her Aunt Marie. She was a lover of animals and had many pets over the years.
Cynthia is survived by her son, Joseph Paquin of Gilmanton, NH, her daughter Deborah Foss of Barnstead, 3 grandchildren, Christine Paquin, Matthew West, and Curtis Foster, 5 great grand-children and her lifelong friend, Norma Wallace.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund.
