Dagmar Elizabeth (Kühne) Tozier

Dagmar Elizabeth (Kühne) Tozier, 91, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. She was born on September 30, 1929, in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Richard Boettcher and Mora Boettcher (Kühne). She was the wife of William Tozier, of whom she was married to in May 1949 in Berlin, Germany.

As a native German, she survived the bombings of Berlin during World War II, and came to this country when her husband Bill Tozier was transferred to Camp Rucker, Alabama in October 1952. A diligent worker: she was employed by Robert Hall for 3 years, Machinists for over 20 years, and finally J&R Langley Company, Inc. for over 10 years. A lifelong historian, an avid reader, and a purveyor of her home county’s heritage and cuisine, she found comfort and relaxation in visits to the White Mountains, her favorite Rye Beach, and traveling to visit friends and family.

She is survived by her two children, Frank and Viola, three grandchildren: Christopher Gillis, Justin Tozier, and James Tozier, and two great-grandchildren: Andrew Tozier and Jaina Tozier.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 11am with the family receiving visitors starting at 10am at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Cremation, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A private spreading of ashes will take place on Thursday, July 29, 2021, for immediate family members only near Rye Beach.
