Our beloved Mother, Dames Maria Rose (nee Murray), 79, passed away on October 10, 2021 in Manchester, New Hampshire after a courageous fight with her illness. She was born on September 14, 1942, in Kingston, Jamaica, the only child of Margaret Leslie. She graduated from St. Ann’s High School.
Dames worked at the Jamaica Frozen Foods company for over thirty years. In January 2001, she migrated to Miami, Florida to be with her daughter, Andrea. She was later employed at the Starlight View Assisted Living facility as a Home Health Aide. In June 2016, she relocated to Manchester, New Hampshire.
She was the wife of Vincent Rose. They were married on December 12, 2001 and were together for fifty four (54) years. The union produced seven (7) children.
A dedicated mother, she made many sacrifices for her children. Her life had many hardships but she was resilient and persevered through them with grace and her sense of humor. She was generous, fiercely loyal and dedicated to her children and grandchildren.
Dames leaves to remember her with love and gratitude her children, Sandra, Andrea (Judy), Orintia (Kim), Christine (Kay), Andrew (Bobby), Michelle, Nadine, Leon, Janice; 30 grandchildren and 12 great grand-children.
She is preceded in death by her mother Margaret in 1999 and husband Vincent in 2019.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and the Service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium; 23 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104. Interment will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery.
