Daniel Roger Joseph Cormier (Jughead), 52 of Manchester, NH, died June 11, 2021, at his home after a courageous battle with COPD and Cancer. Born in Berlin, VT on February 12, 1969 he was the son of Roger and Ginette Cormier. He lived most of his life in Manchester.
He attended school in the Manchester school system. Dan was very devoted to his faith and attended St. Anthony's Church for many years. He was a member of the Local 40 Carpenters Union in Boston, MA. Dan was a skilled carpenter as well as a drywall contractor. He worked for various drywall companies over the years and took much pride in his work.
Dan loved hockey and was a huge Montreal Canadians fan. He loved the outdoors no matter what the season. You could find him snowmobiling, ice fishing, hunting, riding dirt bikes or even at the track watching NASCAR. His greatest love of all however was spending time with his daughters. They meant the world to him and he loved them very much. Dan fought many medical issues over the past three years but his courage, strength and positive attitude helped him through the struggles and pain.
Dan had a heart of gold and loved helping others. He spent many years in the halls of Alcoholics Anonymous where friends became family. Dan was grateful for the gift of sobriety and showed his gratitude by sharing his gift with others.
Dan is survived by his daughter Amber Cormier of Manchester, NH; daughter Ashley Cormier of Louisiana; niece Kayla Cormier of Manchester, NH and nephew Devin Cormier of Florida and many aunts, uncles and cousins of both New Hampshire and Canada. His extended family and caregivers; Lee Cormier, Albert Cote and Ashtyn Cote. His parents Roger and Ginette and his brother Denis Cormier predeceased him.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 29, 4-6 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
