Daniel Scott Dalton, 43, of 725 Union Street, died suddenly on May 31, 2000. He was born on October 24, 1957, and was the beloved son of Richard and Theresa (Bouchard) de Langis of Jensen Beach, Florida. Although born in Manchester, he spent much of his life in Miami Beach, where he graduated from North Miami Beach Senior High School in 1974, and attended Miami Dade College for two years. Dan was an avid surfer who loved the ocean. As a young man, he traveled the islands of Hawaii, studying and practicing the tenets of Eastern philosophy and spirituality. He later served as the Chief Engineer of the Castaways Resort in Miami Beach before returning to Manchester in 1984. He was last employed at Associated Concrete Coatings. A loving father, he is survived by his son, Daniel, and daughter, Amy, both of Epsom. Their grief is shared by other family members, who include sisters, Donna Dalton of Key West, Florida, Anne Thompson of Elmhurst, Illinois, Theresa de Langis of Manchester, and Ricci Allard of Goffstown; brothers, Joseph Dalton of Long Beach, New York, and Paul Sansevieri of Corona Del Mar, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other loving relatives. A Memorial service will be held Monday, June 5 at 11 AM at the Monestary of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH, for family and friends in the Manchester area. A private funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date in Miami Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monastery of the Precious Blood.
