Daniel (Dan) Anthony Howley, 44, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on July 14, 2026. He was born on January 27, 1982.

Dan lived with a vibrant spirit and a deep love for his family. He met his wife, Heather, in 5th grade, and they shared 22 wonderful years of marriage. Dan - whom Heather affectionately called “Babes" - was her perfect partner, providing a gentle calm to her organized chaos.

Dan was well known by his coworkers, building a strong reputation through his intellect and leadership. He began his 20+ year career at BAE Systems as a mechanical engineer before transitioning into project management. One of Dan's superpowers was planning - a gift he used in his career and in unforgettable family vacations.

He was passionate about traveling, taking adventures to Hawaii, Switzerland, Alaska, California, and especially Disney. Affectionately known as "Disney Dan," he loved everything Disney and was always up for squeezing the magic out of trips. He also enjoyed a good bourbon and spending time with friends. They gathered often, a tradition known as "Parents on the porch." Dan was a dedicated father who cherished swimming with his children, teaching them how to ski, baking amazing birthday cakes, and being a constant, proud presence on the sideline at soccer games. He also took great pride in making his family's house a home.

He is survived by his loving wife, Heather Howley, and his cherished children, Grayson (16) and Greta (13) Howley. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Carole Howley; his mother-in-law, Patricia McGuire; and his father-in-law, Anthony Ambriano and his wife, Patricia.

Dan will be missed by his siblings, Mike Howley and his wife, Jenny, and Laura Burk and her husband, Zach; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jon Ambriano and his wife, Heather, and Peter Sullivan and his wife, Jessica. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Regina and Elinor Ambriano, Joshua and Layla Burk, Maya and Theo Howley, and Gwenyth Sullivan; as well as 12 cousins.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 22nd, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
