DAVID PAUL COUGHLIN

LITTLETON  David Paul Coughlin, 68, died July 6, 2003 at the Littleton Regional Hospital in Littleton, NH.

He was born in Goffstown, New Hampshire on June 29, 1935, a son of David and Sarah (Fannon) Coughlin.

Dave graduated from Bishop Brady High School in Manchester, NH in 1953. He enlisted in the military where he served with distinction for 21 years. A combat veteran, he parachuted into Lebanon during the Middle East crisis of 1958. He also served in Vietnam in 1967-1968. Upon retiring from the military, he worked for the federal government as a logistic analyst.

He was an avid outdoorsman; he retired to Littleton in 1988 where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ingeborg (Wiedemann) Coughlin; two sons, Patrick and wife Cynthia of Nashua, NH, and Michael and wife Christie of Waldorf, MD; one daughter, Karen and husband Stew Weldon of Plymouth, NH; and seven grandchildren; Meagan and Molly of Nashua, Katherine, Johanna, and William of Waldorf, MD, and Quinn and Ruby Weldon of Plymouth. He is also survived by his brother, James and wife Claudette of Milford, NH; a sister, Margaret and husband James Kantagis of Nashua, NH; and a sister, Sally and husband Ronald Simms of Portsmouth, NH

SERVICES  A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Hospice of the Littleton Area, St. Johnsbury Road, Littleton, NH 03561
