He married Judith Hoyt in Waterville ME in December 1962 and they lived in North Easton, MA for 21 years.

After graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology he joined Belcher Iron Foundry in North Easton, Mass. He Started as a line foreman and in 1979 became General Manager. He worked there a total of 21years. In 1984 he went into Christian Camping, first working at Pilgrim Pines Conference Center in Swanzey, NH and then at Brookwoods Conference Center Alton, NH as Director of Facilities from 1987 to 2010. Dave and his wife Judy, faithfully served at Brookwoods for 24 years before retiring to Ossipee, NH.

Those who worked alongside Dave will remember his hearty laugh, bright smile, and the steady kindness he carried into every task.

Although a man of many talents’; carpentry was one of his favorites. He built furniture out of trees he had cut clearing the way for new buildings at Brookwoods, then building kitchen cabinets for his retirement home in Ossipee. He was an avid gardener, his favorite being Dahlias. He loved to share his flowers and vegetables with neighbors, friends and people driving by just admiring them.

He was a longstanding, faithful member of the First Congregational Church of Ossipee, serving wherever and whenever there was need. Whether it was brewing a pot of coffee, serving on the finance team and the leaders council, or holding babies in the nursery. He did it all with great joy, smiles, and hardy laugh. He loved the Lord, his FCCO family, and area friends. He is keenly missed by all of us who loved him dearly. We rejoice he is with his Lord and Savior, and we are grateful that he made us better people for having known and served alongside him.

Dave leaves behind many family members and friends who will miss him terribly, especially his wife of 63 years, Judy Hoyt Gleason.
