Mr. David P. Gokey, 70, of Florida died February 3, 2010 at the Hackett Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester following a long illness. He was born on October 31, 1939 in Middlebury, Vermont the son of the late Paul and Gladys (Bushey) Gokey. He was raised in Hubbardton, VT and was educated in Poultney, VT. He moved to Manchester and met Kathleen whom he married. For most of his career, over twenty years, he worked for Magnavox. He retired as regional sales manager for Magnavox. Mr. Gokey enjoyed playing the guitar and singing country music. To many he was known by his nick name of �Big Dave�. He is survived by his son, Keith D. Gokey of Manchester; daughter, Melana Nault of Dunbarton, 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard �Dick� Gokey of Saranac, NY and Reginald �Reg� of St. David, AZ; sister, Patricia �Pat� Ballantine of Hubbardton, VT and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen (Brennan) Gokey who died on December 10, 2007. In His Life: He is also survived by his son in-law, Paul Nault of Dunbarton and his two grandchildren, Logan and Griffin. His Memorial Gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, corner of Union St, Manchester on Saturday from 11:00am to Noon. His Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home at Noon. Burial will take place at Westlawn Cemetery in Goffstown at a later date.
