David R.A. Proulx, 61, died June 10, 2016 at CMC in Manchester. He was born on February 26, 1955 in Manchester, the son of the late Louis and Cecile (Chagnon) Proulx. He was the husband of Aline (Gonthier) Proulx. They were married on August 7, 1993 in Bedford and have been together for 23 years.
David graduated High School from St. Marie's in 1973. He worked for Chagnon's florist, his family's business in Manchester, until they closed their doors in 1988. He then maintained a career as Store Manager at Aubin Hardware until his passing.
David was a Parishioner at The Parish of the Transfiguration and a member of the League of 1000 Men at the Monastery of the Precious Blood. He was also a NASCAR fan and motorcycle enthusiast who loved tigers and spending time at the beach.
Along with his wife, Aline, he is survived by a stepdaughter, Sherry-Ann (Deshaies) Michael and husband Robert; stepson, Jonathan Deshaies; step-grandchildren, Trevor, Rylan & Kamdyn Michael; close cousin, Robert Gilbert and wife Agnese; as well as many extended family members from the Chagnon and Proulx lineage.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2-4pm & 6-8pm, Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am, Wednesday, June 15, at the Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St in Manchester. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
