David Oliver Stockwell

David O. Stockwell, 79, of Bellows Falls, VT passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Springfield Hospital in VT. He was born on November 17, 1936; the son of the late Edmund and Racheal (Fuller) Stockwell.

David was educated in the Putney school system. He was self-employed as a handyman until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting.

He is pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Sherman and Edward Stockwell, and three sisters, June Ross, Martha Snyder, and Dorothy Largena.

He is survived by two sister-in-law's, Gladys Stockwell of Putney, VT and Jean Stockwell of Guilford, VT; as well as many niece, nephews and cousins.

An hour of Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Putney, Vermont. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
