David William Symonds died suddenly on Saturday March 29, 2014 at his home in Litchfield. David was born on June 15, 1952 in Laconia, NH, the son of Robert and Dorothea (Ricker) Symonds.
David graduated from high school in Hollywood, FL in 1970 and attended college at the University of New Hampshire. He worked in food service as a chef from Meredith, NH to Vero Beach, FL throughout his career.
David, with his wife Margaret, have made their home in Litchfield for the past 22 years. David was a huge sports fan, a life long supporter of both the Boston Red Sox and the Patriots. His many friends and family were always blessed with his generosity and warm spirit. It can truly be said he lived life in full measure.
David's son Robert predeceased him in 1986. David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Margi, daughter Steffanie Jacques and her husband Keith, son David II. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Gage and Chloe Jacques, two brothers and three sisters, Leighton and his wife Carol, Jonathan and his wife Sally, Anne Tucker, Wendy Davis, Madelyn Paquette and her husband Anatole, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial honoring David's life on Saturday, April 5, 2014, 11AM , at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. In David's memory donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
