David Thomas Wright

David Thomas Wright, beloved husband, father grandfather and brother, passed away on December 15, 2020. David was born in Lynn, MA on June 11, 1943 to the late David Wright and Jennie Wright.

David joined the U.S. Navy at a young age and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He went on to join the Merchant Marines where he enjoyed his travels around the world. He was a member of the American Legion, Penacook, NH Post 31.

David and Lorraine moved to NH in 1985. Together they liked to travel, with the south being a favorite destination. David enjoyed his work at Sam's Club after his retirement from the Merchant Marines. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and taking drives with Lorraine. He was known to frequent yard sales and enjoyed leather work and watching movies.

David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Lorraine Wright (Anthony) and 4 children: Barbara Fontaine and husband Dana, Philip Wright and wife Suzanne, Karen Wright and partner Kyle Mangawang, and Steven Wright. He leaves behind 13 adoring grandchildren and 4 loving great granddaughters. He is survived by his brother George Wright and his domestic partner Suzanne Silvestri. He was predeceased by his daughter Cathy Atkins, brother Charles Wright and sister Bonnie Guthro.

David was a loving family man and will be deeply missed by so many.

Services will be held on Sunday, December 20th at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester. Visitation will take place from 2PM-5PM with a prayer service and military honors at 3PM.

Please note current restrictions limiting funeral home capacity to no more than 50%. Those in attendance are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
