Dean G. LeClaire, 47, of Brattleboro, VT passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at his residence after battling ALS. He was born in Naperville, IL on March 31, 1967, the son of the late Richard and Verna (Gilson) LeClaire.
Dean was a lifelong Brattleboro resident. He was educated in the Brattleboro School system, graduating from Brattleboro Union High School, class of 1985. He was employed as the UPS shipping leader at New Chapter from many years. Dean loved the outdoors. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, camping, biking and fishing.
He is predeceased by a sister, Michelle M. LaRue in 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Monroe) LeClaire of Brattleboro; two children, Gregory and Sarah LeClaire both of Brattleboro; a brother, Andrew LeClaire and his wife Kathy of Brattleboro; two sisters, Vicki LeClaire of Wallingford, VT and Diana Shepherd and her husband Charles of Guilford, VT; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours were held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT. Burial will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Morningside Cemetery, Brattleboro, VT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS Assn., NNE Chapter, Concord Center, 10 Ferry Street, Concord, NH 03301.
