DALTON, NH -- Deborah "Debbie" (Presby) Houde, 62, died peacefully in her Dalton, NH home on Sunday, September 14, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, after a short battle with brain cancer. Debbie was born August 12, 1952, in Littleton, NH. She was the daughter of Ralph Pilotte and the late Marilyn (Lyndes) Pilotte.
Debbie was a longtime resident of the Whitefield area. She graduated from White Mountains Regional High School in 1970. In 1981, while working at the Morrison Nursing Home, Debbie became a Certified Nurse's Aide. In November of 1985, she began her long career at Mountain View Dental (Roy Brewster, DDS). She attended New Hampshire Technical Institute to become a Certified Dental Assistant, and later became a receptionist and the financial coordinator.
Debbie enjoyed many creative hobbies, such as scrapbooking, quilting, knitting and crocheting. She also loved camping and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Debbie was an active member of her church and community, and was studying to become a lay speaker.
Debbie is survived by her three children, Mark Dexter and his wife, Jenifer, of Hopkinton, NH, Cari Giddings and her husband, John, of Lunenburg, VT, and Kassandra Houde and her fiancé, Jordan Cook, of Littleton, NH, three grandchildren, Lizi Dexter, Kody Dexter, and Trés Giddings, her father, Ralph Pilotte, and four siblings, Diana Worcester of Keene, NH, Russell Pilotte and his wife, Kathy, of Littleton, NH, Ralph Pilotte and his wife, Vanessa, of Cullman, AL, and Randy Pilotte of Manchester, NH. She is predeceased by her mother, Marilyn Pilotte, and sister, Denice Pilotte.
SERVICES --There will be a Celebration of Life service at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitefield, NH on September 27, 2014 at 10 am. A private graveside service for immediate family members will be held at the Park Street Cemetery.
