Delia Huertas, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, God Mother, daughter, and friend, peacefully passed surrounded by beloved family and friends. She was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, but moved to Woburn, MA, where she would grow up and spent the early years of her life and would later move to Hooksett, NH, where she would live until the very end.
To pass the time, Delia loved to crotchet and do 3000 piece puzzles. She also had a great joy in watching movies; action films being her favorite. Delia was a very proud cook, and took great pleasure spending hours in the kitchen creating delicious meals for the family gatherings she would host.
Delia was devoted to the Catholic faith, which was reflected in her selfless and caring personality. She was the most kindhearted and caring person you could ever meet. No matter what was going on in her life, her top priority was always to make sure everyone else around her was doing well. When it came to illness, Delia was the ultimate warrior. She battled everything head-on and faced every challenge with a smile, never once complaining about her situation.
She is predeceased by her father; Trinidad Velazquez, who passed in May of 1995.
Delia is survived by her mother; Cecilia Rivera Laboy, her spouse; Hector L. Huertas, her 3 sons; Hector A. Huertas, Antonio L. Huertas, and Michael A. Huertas, her brother; Michael A. Velazquez, her sister; Alicia Velazquez, her sister-in-laws; Margarita Huertas, Milagro Huertas, Elba Huertas, Miriam Huertas, and Kricia Mora, her brother-in-laws; Domingo Huertas, Rafael Huertas, Jose L. Huertas, her daughter-in-laws; Wendy Huertas and Karen Huertas, and her 4 grandkids; Isabelle Huertas, Ariana Huertas, Aviani Huertas, and Joell Huertas.
