Della Mae was a farmer's wife who helped on the family farm, raised seven children and worked outside the home. She retired from the Grafton County Nursing Home after working for many years as a nurse's aide.

Her loves were Bud, her family, the "grand-dogs" Tess and Pip, her cats Midnight and Barney, making Christmas cookies and breads for the family, fall vacations to Downeast, Maine early spring vacations to Saco, Maine, reading books until she fell asleep, family gatherings under the pole-barn and Thursday evening "wine night" when family members and friends gathered to relax and reconnect.
Her family grieves her loss but know that she has entered that special place in their hearts that was entered by their father before her. She will forever be with them.
She did not wish to have a viewing or formal service so with her family gathered around her; a prayer was said at her bedside by her friend and neighbor Florence Corey.
It was Della Mae's request to be cremated, then on some sunny spring day to have her family gather in celebration of her life and lay her to rest in Lyman cemetery beside her husband "Buddy".

Her children would like to thank Chan and Donna for spending the summer with her .Their presence added to the enjoyment of her last summer and it was a comfort to her and her children knowing they were close by. They would also like to thank Shari and Greg Thompson for making it possible for Chan and Donna to be only steps away from her back door.

Special thanks to:

Christine Flugal for jumping on a plane to come see her.
