Denise A. (Laporte) Giroux

Denise A. (Laporte) Giroux, 77, died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack. She was born on March 20, 1939 in Waterlou, Canada, daughter of the late Andre and Lucille (Bergeron) Laporte.

She was the beloved wife of Leopold Giroux whom she married on July 2, 1960.

Denise moved to the U.S. at the age of 18. She enjoyed raising their children and spending time with her grandchildren, obtaining her Real Estate License, but enjoyed working alongside her husband at Paul Giroux Plumbing and Heating most of all.

Traveling with her husband was among her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed spending time at their home in Hobe Sound, Florida.

Along with her husband, Leopold, she is survived by her two sons, Michael of VT and Peter of Weare; two daughters, Lucie Diane Case and Christa Ann-Denise Giroux; eight grandchildren, Christina Giroux, Dereck Giroux, Angela and Jacqueline Case, Chason and Summer Giroux, and Stephane and Rebecca Dery; and six siblings, Gisele Huppe, Raymond Laporte, Monique Laporte, Francine Perry, Guy Laporte, and Gill Laporte.

SERVICES: Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, October 21 at Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine Church in Manchester on Saturday, October 22 at 11am. Interment prayers will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends are invited to attend.
