Dennis R. Belanger

Bedford - Dennis R. Belanger, 67, passed away on April 9, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack peacefully with his wife at his side.

He was born April 5, 1947 in Rochester, NH the son of Robert J. and Irene H. (Lamontagne) Belanger. He was a graduate of Spaulding High School '65 and New Hampshire College '69.

He was an insurance adjuster.

Dennis loved to fish and in 1986 he won the Best in Species Angling Sports Afield Award to catching a 17lb 35" lake trout in Squam Lake. He liked to hunt and be out in nature.

He was a member of the Queen City Pool League for many years as well as a member of the Workmen's Club, Club Canadian and the Deerhead Sportsman Club.

Dennis was known for his stories and sense of humor.

Beloved husband of 45 years to Ellen (Sibulkin) Belanger, loving father of Brian (Traci) Belanger of Manchester and Derrick (Abby) Belanger of CO, loving Pepere to Rhea and Phoebe. Also survived by his sister, Paula (Thomas) Gilbert of FL, nephews, Scott (Lorene) Gilbert and Dean (Rhonda) Gilbert, great nieces and nephews, his Aunt Jean Belanger and many cousins.

His Memorial Gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Monday from 3-7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00AM at St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St, Manchester. Everyone is asked to meet at church. The family requests no flowers be sent.
