Dennis R. Schwab

Dennis R. Schwab, 77, went home to be with his Lord on May 3, 2023, at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 9, 1946, in Melrose, MA, the son of the late Maynard B. "Jack" and Edythe F. (Dooley) Schwab. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Kristine Fife. 

Dennis moved to Northwood, NH, with his family at the age of 5. He graduated from Coe-Brown Northwood Academy in 1964 and went on to become a proficient engineer and talented keyboard player. Music was an important part of his life, and he played in a number of local bands during his earlier years. He later enjoyed playing in worship/gospel groups with his wife, Henriette.

Dennis also had many other interests. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed target shooting. Because his father was the owner of "Jack's Repair Shop" in Northwood, he became an excellent mechanic with his father's guidance. During his years as a sales engineer with Thermal Technologies, he had the opportunity to travel overseas with family members.

Dennis served as a musician and sound technician at Epsom Baptist/Bible Church in Epsom, NH, and later at River of Grace Church in Concord, NH. He, along with his wife and children, also put together a Bible puppet ministry as a gospel outreach to the community. Dennis will be deeply missed by his family and friends and will be remembered as a kind and loving husband and father.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Henriette M. (Plante) Schwab; children, D. Michael Schwab and his fiancée, Shannon of Manchester, NH, Amy Bilodeau of Barnstead, NH, Rebecca Schwab of Penacook, NH, Andrew Schwab and his wife, Jennifer of Manchester, NH, Karyn Kilian and her husband, James of Loudon, NH, and Stephen Schwab and his wife, Amelia, of Hooksett, NH; son-in-law, Larry Fife; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Brittney, Ashleigh, Lucas, Kaitlin, Jack, Marcus, Lucia, and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Cayson.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 2:00pm at Faith Community Bible Church, 334 North Village Road, Loudon, NH 03307. Family and friends are invited to attend. A private graveside service for Dennis will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Northwood, NH where he will be laid to rest.
