Despina Tsatsopoulos

Despina (Hatzopoulos) Tsatsopoulos, 83, of 90 Manor Drive and formerly of 208 Woodcrest Court, died February 26, 2000 at her residence. She was born in Valanidia, Greece on January 1, 1917, the daughter of John and Theodota Hatzopoulos. She resided most of her life in Greece, but moved to Manchester to be with her family after the death of her husband, Christos Tsatsopoulos in 1995. She was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Family members include her son, Athanasios Tsatsopoulos of Manchester; two daughters, Mrs. Carmen (Loula) Gines Guzzardi and Mrs. Solon (Stella) Hatzidakis, both of Manchester; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; a sisters, Theano Keramaris of Athens, Greece; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. The Trisageon service will be conducted in the funeral home at 7:00 PM with The Reverend Doctor Nicholas Gamvas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in Assumption Greek Orthodox Church with The Reverend Doctor Nicholas Gamvas, officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
