Diana (Hontgas) Paskaley of Nashua, NH, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 peacefully at her home. Diana was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Charlie (Kocho) Paskaley on March 5, 2022.
Diana was born in Mullins, West Virginia one of three siblings to the late Peter and Marika Hontgas. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wison High School. She continued her education at Beckley College where she earned an associate’s degree. While in college she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She would often affectionately remind her family and friend of her former Ms. Raleigh Register Beauty Pageant title.
She married her best friend and love of her life, Charlie Paskaley in April 1963. Diana possessed the gift of storytelling, often leaving family and friends laughing hysterically when she would recount her inability to cook in their early years of marriage. Years later they were affectionately known as Prince Charles and Lady Di. As a “Southern Belle” Diana kept her age a mystery, to the amusement of her family.
Diana held several employment positions in Nashua, including the Nashua Telegraph, Doehla’s Greeting Cards, Indian Head Bank, and in her later years at Penwell Publishing.
She was active member of St. Philips Greek Orthodox Church, and held many roles within the Greek community from Sunday School teacher, she could be found in the serving line of the annual Greek Food Fest, and assisted in the decorating committee of the Annual Taverna Night held at the Nashua Armory years ago. She was an active member of the Lady’s Society AGAPE, and the Daughters of Penelope, Thisbe Chapter 148. Where she had held the office of District Governor and recently celebrated her 50th anniversary as a Daughter of Penelope.
Diana is survived by her two children, Peter Paskaley and his wife Lia of Saugus, MA and Rebecca and James Perkins of Nashua, NH. Grandchildren, Paul Torri and Anne, of Nashua, NH, Kyle MacEachern and Michelle and great granddaughter, Morgan, of Haverhill, MA, Ryley MacEachern and Jannajna of West Palm Beach, FL, Mark MacEachern of West Palm Beach, Fl, Matthew MacEachern, US Air Force, Charles Perkins and Zoe Perkins of Nashua, NH. She also leaves behind her sister Bessie Lively of Beckley, West Virginia, a brother and sister-in-law, John and Roxanne Stergiou of Manchester, NH, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will held at St. Philips Greek Orthodox Church, 500 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Beginning with calling hours from 10am-11am, with the funeral beginning at 11am, and internment at Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the services.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Diana’s memory to the St. Philips Ladies Society Agape, Daughters of Penelope, or the St. Philips Greek Orthodox Church.
