Diane Ashworth

Diane O'Neill Ashworth of Guilford, VT ended her journey on this earth and went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2012. Diane was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully made this transition to a better place. Diane was born February 22, 1949 in Brattleboro, VT to Mary Stewart and Hugh O'Neill of Brattleboro. Diane was married to Fred Ashworth on October 25, 1986 in Brattleboro. They just celebrated their 25th anniversary and had an amazing life of joy and peace.

Diane is survived by her husband Fred, three daughters, Kelley Mathis of NC, Michelle Chase of Charlestown, NH, Regina Thibodeau of Shoreham, VT ; two sons, Shannon Covey of Vernon and Fred Ashworth Jr. of Barre. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, Ryan Chase, Garrett Covey, Shannon Weatherup, Scott and Dixie Mathis, Honour and Cyr Solari, Brent, Wesley, Bryana and Troy Thibodeau. She is also survived by her father Larry Wright, sisters, Linda O'Neill, Sally O'Neill and Karen O'Neill , her brother Johnny O'Neill and many nieces, nephews and special family friends.
She was predeceased by her mother Mary Wright and her brother Larry Wright, Jr.
Diane made many friends in the Guilford Cares and Brattleboro area Hospice programs. The family wished to express their deep appreciation for the care and attention she was provided. They have been a true blessing in her life.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Windham Humane Society, Guilford Cares and Brattleboro Area Hospice or the Guilford Community church in honor of Diane.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday
From 4:00 to 7:00 at the Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home, 57 High St. Brattleboro. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
