Diane Patricia (Bailey) Capalario, 68, of Manchester, was called home after a long illness on August 21, 2022, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Johnson City, NY on June 12, 1954, the daughter of the late Douglas and Bernadette (O’Hearon) Bailey. Diane earned her associates degree as a medial x-ray technician at Upstate Medical Center in NY. She worked for Armstrong Mold in Syracuse, NY for many years before moving to NH with her family. She then worked for Uni-Cast for over twenty years as a quality control manager and level 3 NDT manager until her retirement.
Diane had a passion for helping others. For many years, she worked for the One Spirit Food Program, supplying food and resources to the native American population on a reservation in South Dakota. Family was very important to her. She enjoyed teaching her children and grandchildren crafts like crocheting, woodburning and embroidery . Diane loved her fur babies Bailey and Buddy and enjoyed lighthouses, everything native America, and watching the Wizard of Oz. There was nothing she could not accomplish once she put her mind to it.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Sheila Bailey and Karen Duval, and by her brother, Jim Bailey.
Family members include her loving husband of 49 years, John Capalario; two daughters, Tina Martinez and her husband Moises of Chittenango, NY and Tammy Capalario of Nashua; seven grandchildren, Mathew Capalario and his fiance Jennie, Jared Capalario, Julien Martinez, Leigha Young, Makenzie Martinez, Connor Young, and Collin Young; two brothers, Bob Bailey and his wife Myra, and Doug Bailey and his wife Jamie; three sisters in law, Bonnie Bailey, Joanne Coffey, and Helen Capalario; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Friday, September 2nd from 6 to 8 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 8 PM.
