Diane was born on March 1, 1935, in Queens, New York, to her parents, Lillian and Joseph Madlik. She was raised in Queens, where she spent her early years before pursuing a career in education. Diane became a dedicated school teacher in the Bronx, where she taught for many years and touched the lives of countless students with her grace and intelligence. 

Around 1961, Diane met the love of her life, Bob Jaracz. They married and built a beautiful life together, raising three boys — Robbie, Daniel, and Noel. Diane experienced profound loss in her later years, with her beloved son Daniel predeceasing her in 2018, and her husband Bob passing in November 2025. 

In the early 1980s, Diane and her family moved to New Hampshire, where she lived in her cherished home until October 2025, before spending her final days at Bedford Hills Nursing Home. 

Diane was often described by friends and family as regal and elegant. She carried herself with poise and propriety, yet she was quick-witted and always ready with a clever remark that brought laughter to those around her. She lit up every room she entered. She will be remembered for her beautiful singing voice, her sharp sense of humor, and above all, her fierce and unwavering love for her family. 

During her final week, Diane was never alone — she was surrounded by the love of her family. She took her last breath with her granddaughter Melissa faithfully by her side. 

She is survived by her sons Robbie and Noel; her daughter-in-law Bridget Jaracz; her grandchildren Amanda, Melissa, and Aleczander; her great-grandson Jeovanni; and many loving relatives in Queens. 

Assisting the family with arrangements is Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Nashua. There will be a Visitation on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a Funeral Service starting at 4 p.m., at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH. Burial will be the following weekend on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10 a.m., at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua, NH. The Jaracz family warmly invites all who knew and loved Diane to join in celebrating her life, as there are so many whose lives she touched.
