Manchester

Diane J. Lanctot, 66, of Manchester, passed away unexpectedly on January 9th, 2024. Born on December 3, 1957, in Manchester, NH. She was the beloved daughter of the late John M. Roy and Pauline Roy (St. Onge).

Diane's educational path led her to Central High School, where she laid the foundation for a life devoted to caring for others. She pursued her passion for nursing, earning her degree from the Catholic Medical Center School of Nursing. This educational journey marked the beginning of a career characterized by empathy and genuine concern for the well-being of others.

Diane was not merely a nurse; she was a "people collector," gathering souls with her warm heart and kindness. Her home was an open haven for many, a place where people found solace and comfort. Her ability to make everyone feel valued and loved created a community around her that cherished her presence.

Among Diane's many loves were her appreciation for flowers and her love of birds, particularly owls. She could often be found sitting on her porch admiring her garden and the birds at her feeders. The vibrant colors of nature mirrored the richness of her spirit.

Diane was predeceased by her beloved husband of 39 years, David Lanctot and her brother; David Roy.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Lanctot, his wife Cindy, and their daughter Vivienne of Heath, Texas, her daughter; Kelsey Lanctot Williams and her wife, Holly Williams of New Hampton, New Hampshire, her brothers; Ronald Roy and his wife, Paulette of Estero, Florida, Norman Roy and his wife Diane of Auburn, New Hampshire, and William Roy of New Hampshire, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by countless friends including her lifelong friends Kathy and Joe Gosselin. From over 50 years of friendship, the families playfully combined their last names, creating the affectionate moniker "Gostot”.
