Diane D. "Chickie" Riley, 81, of Bedford, passed away on February 24, 2014 at Exeter Hospital.
Born in Manchester on May 18, 1932, she was the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Klardie) Wyskiel and had been a Bedford resident for the past 70 years. She was a 1950 graduate of Manchester High School Central. She worked for Public Service Company of New Hampshire for 25 years and had been the personal assistant of the Treasurer and President until her retirement. After that she owned and operated Country Princess Antiques in Goffstown. She was a member of the Nellie Perkins Doll Club. She loved going to the races where she followed her husband's car racing career. She was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Campbell.
Family members include her husband of 65 years, Albert Riley of Bedford; two sons, Richard Riley and his wife Jeannette of Edgewater, FL and Thomas Riley and his wife Diane of Bedford; a daughter, Elizabeth Potvin and her husband David of Bedford; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; a brother George Metalious and his wife Priscilla of Rye; a sister, Catherine Allen of Bedford; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Friday from 9:00 to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at Noon in St. Raphael Church. Committal services will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford. For more information, go to www.phaneuf.net.
