Dolores J. (Buckley) Foote

Dolores Jean (Buckley) Foote, (aged 74), died February 19, 2024, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. She was born on February 8, 1950 in Plattsburgh NY, The daughter of Emmett Buckley and Eleanor Buckley (Meyer).

Dolores was a proud and supportive military wife and mother. After living in New York, England, and Idaho, she settled with her family in Manchester NH. She often called herself just a waitress, however she was so much more than that to those that knew her. She created a loving and warm home, was a top-notch mom to her biological children as well as a stepmom who stepped up to care for her stepchildren Carey and Charlie.  

Dolores was raised on a farm with a loving family and passed the standards of hard work, fair dealing, and love of a happy life to her family.  She supported the Wounded Warriors project, the NICU at the Catholic Medical Center, St. Josephs’s Indian School, The Liberty House in NH, and the Alzheimer’s Association.

She loved to take weekend road trips with her husband Gary to explore the beauty of New England, she often laughed at her luck when it came to scratch tickets and used her quick wit and intelligence to make her world a better place.

Predeceased by: Her beloved husband of 44 years Gary Foote who passed on 12/18/23, her son Sheldon Foote who passed on 12/31/23 and her amazing sister Kathleen Deal of Indiana.

Survived by: Son; Derek Foote and his wife Anna of Henniker, Carey Foote of Hawaii, Charlie Foote of Oklahoma, and John & Sharon Cullivan of Manchester. Siblings; Cecilia Pekar, Helen Buckley, Maryann Orchard, and William Buckley. Grandchildren; Cory, Demetri, Athena, Gavyn, and Starr Foote, Alyssa (Cay) Martinez, and Great-Grandson Hunter Bowes, as well as many extended family and friends.
