Donald Raymond Courtemanche, age 83, deceased Oct. 2, 2026 in Tampa, Florida. “He was called home by the Lord”. Born July 9th, 1943 in Lewiston, Maine, the oldest of ten children, to Irene (Rancourt) Courtemanche and Fernand Courtemanche, his beloved parents.
Donald attended St. Dominic High school, graduated and held various skillful jobs while serving in the US Army National Guard for six years earning him a precision, skilled, honorable, and prestigious Sharpshooter, Qualification, Marksmanship badge, sniper award; and later, an honorable discharge from the US Army.
He then relocated to NH to fulfill a promising career as a professional drywall finisher and taper. He excelled in his art that truly served his family well for over 35 years. He was an honorary member of the fraternity of Elks in Florida, a dedicated church goer and donator of various charities. Donald was always the giver, never the taker.
Donald was first and foremost a “family man” who dedicated his life to that cause. He enjoyed card games, board games, bowling, puzzle making, bird watching, periodical cruising, sightseeing, dining out, the movies, but mostly he enjoyed the family gatherings where he was happiest being the quiet observer, humble and always kind. He was a “spiritual being” in a human body. His legacy lives on forever.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Andersen), Courtemanche, his four daughters, Celeste Claire (Courtemanche) Munro, spouse David, Marie Christine Courtemanche, Estel Marie (Courtemanche) Hawkins, partner Roy Comeaux, Natalie (Courtemanche) Lesmerises, spouse Joseph. Grandsons, Bradley Courtemanche, spouse Kate, Caleb Grenon, spouse, Olivia Ethan Hawkins, Jansyn Williams, Grand daughters, Ashley (Hawkins) Williams, Samantha Hawkins, Emalie Hawkins. Great grandchildren, Cillian Donald Courtemanche, Elias Courtemanche, Jayci Williams as well as several grandchildren from blended families.
He is preceded by his parents, Fernand and Irene Courtemanche, his brothers, Denis and Richard Courtemanche, his sister Claire “Courtemanche” Tennyson and spouse, Charles Tennyson.
