Donald J. Deshaies, 65, of Pinardville, passed away May 18, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Manchester, NH on May 26, 1944 to Herman and Germaine (Beliveau) Deshaies. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Mr. Deshaies attended Manchester schools. He worked at the Manchester Transit Authority for 35 years and at the Manchester Airport for 20 years. Mr. Deshaies served in the National Guard for 3 years. He enjoyed antique cars, war and western movies, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Donald lived his life to the fullest everyday and was the most generous, kind, forgiving man you could meet. The family includes his wife of 46 years, Shirley (Belanger) Deshaies of Manchester; three daughters, Donna Huot of Manchester, Stephanie Deshaies of San Diego, CA and Lisa McGibbon of Raymond, NH; four brothers, Raymond Deshaies of The Villages, Florida, Maurice Deshaies of Bristol, CT, Albert Deshaies of Plainville, CT and Fernand Deshaies of Manchester, NH; five sisters, Theresa Isabelle of Edgewater, FL, Lorraine Dixon of Manchester, Connie Roy of Manchester, Claire Lapointe of Pembroke, NH and Jeannine Ubhaus of Kingsland, GA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In His Life: He is also survived by his son in-law, Bruce McGibbon of Raymond, NH; two grandchildren, Krystal Deshaies and Kirsten Huot of Manchester, NH and his aunt Henriette Leblanc. We will miss you dearly and we will never forget you. Calling Hours will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, corner of Union St, Manchester on Sunday from 4 to 8PM. His Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Monday at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester.
