DONALD R. DODGE
TILTON, NH Donald R. Dodge, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on March 28, 2009 at the Franklin Regional Hospital.
Donnie was born on March 1, 1934, a son to Roy and Gertrude Dodge in Littleton, NH. He attended school in North Lisbon, NH.
Donnie worked on the family farm until 1954, at which time he joined the United States Army and was stationed in France, and during that time he completed his schooling. He returned to Littleton, where he resided for many years, working as a carpenter and also in construction. Donnie moved to Tilton, NH 29 years ago, and took the position as Custodian at the Winnesquam Regional School until his retirement. He enjoyed camping in his free time.
Surviving family members include his son, Troy N. Dodge and companion, Penny of Littleton, NH; one granddaughter, Jessica Miller Dodge of Haverhill, NH; this twin brother, Willie E. Dodge of Lebanon, NH, four other brothers, Gene D. Dodge of Littleton, NH; Herbert C. Dodge of Greensboro, NC, Clarence E. Dodge and wife, Jean of Littleton, NH, David R. Dodge and wife, Sharon of Littleton, NH; four sisters, Maureen M. Sweeney and companion, Phil of Woodsville, NH, Alice M. Wilson and husband, Bob of Littleton, NH, Florence J. McFarland of Plantation, FL, and Louise E. Myrick and husband, Sam of Tuscaloosa, AL; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by a younger brother, Robert L. Dodge in 2004.
SERVICES -- Graveside services will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton on May 22nd at 11:00 a.m.
