Donald J. Guimond

Donald J. Guimond – Concord, NH Age 53 of Manchester, died Tuesday October 25th at VNA & Hospice House in Concord. He was born October 11, 1952 in Manchester, the Son of John and Yvonne (Turcotte) Guimond. A life-long resident of Manchester, he was educated at St. Marie’s School in Manchester. He was a long time employee of J. F. McElwain Shoe Company. He had also worked for Prevue Products, Carol Cable and most recently, Kalwell Corporation as a fork lift driver. Don had a passion for astronomy and always enjoyed a challenging game of chess. He loved the outdoors, especially going hiking and fishing. He was also an avid bowler. He is survived by his Fiancé, Jean L. Bennett of Manchester. Daughter Betty Jo Green and her husband David A. of Loudon. Brother Richard Guimond of Merrimack. Sisters; Lorraine Hould of Nashua, Pauline Grant and Joanne Becker, both of Manchester. 2 Grandchildren, several nieces and a nephew also survive him. Calling hours are Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium 243 Hanover Street Manchester. A Candle Light Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 8:00 PM on Friday. A private interment will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Monday.
