Donald William Lapierre

Donald W. Lapierre, 82 of Bedford, NH died Saturday July 26, 2008 at home. He was born on July 21, 1926 in Manchester, NH the son of the late William and Alma (Girard) Lapierre. He graduated from Central High School and received his bachelors degree from New England College. Mr. Lapierre served in the US Army with the 7th Infantry Division during World War II. He had worked as an engineer for Concord Gas for twenty years. During the 1980's he was co-owner of the Old Post Office Diner in Hillsboro. Donald was a gentleman farmer, enjoyed vintage farm machinery and was a lover of all animals. He especially enjoyed the closeness he shared with his family and seeing his grandchildren everyday. In His Life: He is survived by his son, Paul Lapierre and his wife Nancy of Bedford; three daughters, Louise Marchand and her husband Ron of Bedford, Diane Lapierre and her husband Jon Lewis of Bedford and Michele Biron and her husband James of Bedford; 5 grandchildren, Nick Lewis, Owen Lapierre, Emma Lapierre, Bronte Biron and Sawyer Biron all of Bedford and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Therese (Michaud) Lapierre. Private services will be held at a later date.
