Donald G. Mafera Manchester – Donald George Mafera, 53, died peacefully, February 18, 2008 at home with his loved ones, after a long illness. He was born in Winchester, MA on December 21, 1954 to the late Richard G. Mafera Sr. Mafera and Lillian E. (Orfield) Mafera of Manchester. He was raised in the Manchester area and attended Central High School. Mr. Mafera served in the US Army as a draftsman in CA and AK, receiving an honorable discharge. He was terminal manager of Riteway Express of NC until his retirement in 2005. Donald was an avid Patriot and Red sox Fan. He was an active member of the Workman's Relief Association and the Davignon Club. Family members include his mother Lillian Mafera of Manchester, 3 children, Jennifer Mafera of Manchester, Brian Mafera and Kate Mafera both of Lebanon, OR; 1 grandson; sister, Jeanette Loranger of Goffstown, 3 brothers, James Mafera of New Durham, Richard G. Mafera Jr. of Rancho Cucamunga, CA and Thomas Mafera of Prineville, OR; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In his life: He is survived by his grandson Issac Spangler of Manchester and his dear friend Janice of Manchester. He was predeceased by his brother, David J. Mafera. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, corner of Union St, on Thursday from 6-8PM. His Graveside Service will be held at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Epping St, Raymond, NH on Friday at 11:00AM. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.
