DONALD J. MARTIN MANCHESTER - Donald J. Martin, 67, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at his residence. He was born on February 16, 1942, in Gardner, MA, the son of the late Michael J. and Juliette (Letarte) Martin. He was a resident of Manchester, for the past 5 years. Prior to this, he resided in Jamaica Plain, MA for 33 years. Prior to his retirement in 2004, Mr. Martin was employed by Zoll Medical. He loved electronics, history and watching movies. Mr. Martin liked gambling, and made trips to Foxwoods and Las Vegas. Family members include; his wife, of 47 years, Jo-Ann (Rivers) Martin, of Manchester; 3 daughters, Patricia A. Wernig, of Manchester; Mary E. Reyes, of Londonderry; Jo-Ann S. Stratton, of Manchester; 5 grandchildren, 1 sister, Gemma Baer, of Taunton, MA; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday, July 27, 2009, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road, in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Camp Allen, Inc., 56 Camp Allen Road, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mr. Martin.
