Donald Richard Moore Jr., 74, of Penacook passed away suddenly on May 6, 2024. He was born on April 22,1950, the son of the late Donald Moore Sr., and Rachel (Nolin) Moore.
He attended Bishop Brady High School. After graduation he worked for the Concord Fire Department as a dispatcher/lineman for 23 years. After retirement he continued to bring joy to the lives of others by delivering flowers at Barney's Florist Shop and McLeod's of Concord, New Hampshire. He had many hobbies that included coaching baseball for area youth, crossword puzzles, fishing, but is most famously known for being "Mr. Lights", a nickname given to him for his epic Christmas Light displays that expanded for over 32 years.
Donald was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Albert Moore. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Nancy (Wood) Moore; son Christopher Moore and his wife Kayla; daughter Jennifer Moore and son in law Greg Snow; his sisters Dorothy Grindle and her husband Gary, Donna Sweet, and her husband Donald, and Dianne Knight, and her husband Kenny; and several nieces and nephews.
